The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans due to the presence of an undeclared soy allergen, posing a serious health risk to consumers with soy allergies.
The beans, manufactured by Vietti Food Group in Nashville, Tennessee, were distributed across 23 states, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Texas, and Virginia.
The FDA warns that individuals with a soy allergy who consume the product could face “serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.” While no illnesses or adverse events have been reported at this time, the agency urges consumers to take the recall seriously.
Consumers who purchased the affected product are advised not to eat it and should return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund.
For additional details or concerns, Vietti Food Group can be contacted at 513-682-2474, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST.
The FDA continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
